Today it is a well-preserved heritage site located near Ras Al Khaimah city and within comfortable driving distance from Sharjah and Dubai. The village features traditional courtyard houses, forts, souqs, and the remains of mosques that reflect life here for centuries. Although it is often called a ghost town, visitors can learn about local history, architecture, and culture in a peaceful setting.
